Soil Management Plans
If a contaminant or a potential contaminant is identified and removal is not possible, it may be a requirement to implement an ongoing Management Plan which includes a routine monitoring programme. If this is the case, the Management Plan must detail: the type, location and extent of the contamination remaining in place which requires ongoing management; the form and standard of management controls required to ensure risks are maintained at an acceptable level and; the requirements of an ongoing monitoring program to ensure that management controls are adequately in place and are effective.
